FEAR NOT

wow.. so today has been.. emotional. My mom and I started talking about college and what i'm doing and such, and she started getting really frustrated with me about something, and that made me get really frustrated with her.. so i had to walk away. i went upstairs and laid on my bed and just cried. Satan kept whispering "self-pity" thoughts into my mind, but God helped me realize they were just that, and i quieted them.. but anyway.. so i started writing asking God to help me know what to do.. where to go- to give me HUGE dreams that i can run after.. and not that i don't have dreams, i DO have dreams, but they are more like tiny snap shots that i haven't really figured out where they go in the grand scheme of things...anyway. The prayer was pretty much me crying out for HELP and guidance.. and i realized that i was afraid of missing it.. I ended the prayer with asking God to give me a scripture.. so i open the Bible and BAM..Isaiah 41

"Quiet down far flung ocean islands, Listen! Sit down and rest. Everyone recover your strength. Gather around me. Say what's on your heart. Together let's decide what's right.. But You, Israel, are may servant. You're Jacob, my first choice. My friend. You're my servant, serving on my side. I've picked you, i haven't dropped you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you. Do you feel like a lowly worm, Jacob? Don't be afraid. Feel like a fragile insect, Israel? I'll help you. I, God, want to reassure you. I'm transforming you from a worm to harrow (plow), from insect to iron. As a sharp-toothed harrow You'll smoooth out the mountains, turn those tough hills into loamy soil. You'll open rough ground to the weather, to the blasts of sun and sind and rain. But you'll be confident and exuberant, expansive in the Holy Spirit! The poor and homeless are desperate for water, their tongues are parched and no water to be found, I'm here for them, and I, God of Israel, will not leave them thirsty. I'll open up rivers for them on the barren hills, spout fountains in the valleys. I'll turn the baked-clay badlands into a cool pond, the waterless waste into splashing creeks... Everyone will see this. No one can miss it- unavoidable, indisputable evidence that I, God personally did this. It's created and signed by the Holy of Israel."

I read that to my mom.. and i looked up and she was crying.. God had given her that exact same scripture when she was pregnant with me.. so God's awesome. haha that's all!!
